Cristiana Giopato, Italian, and Christopher Coombes, English, began their professional collaboration in 2004 with the project "In Dust We Trust," an exhibition they conceived and directed, which later gave birth to the company InDustReal.
A few years later, the duo founded their own multidisciplinary studio to explore how the blending of their two different cultures could merge into a single product or interior project. From their initial projects for Fiam Italia and Guzzini, and winning an award for Promosedia 2006 selected by Patricia Urquiola, they continued to design products for all areas of the home at the request of companies such as Living Divani, Lema Mobili, Miniforms, Frag, and Glass Idromassaggio.
Some of their products have been awarded the prestigious Italian prize "Young & Design," exhibited in various exhibitions, and featured in newspapers and magazines worldwide.
In 2012, Cristiana graduated in Architecture, and the studio has now launched a division dedicated to interior design and residential architecture, which, continuing their belief in interdisciplinary contamination, led to the creation of photo sets and exhibition stands for catalogs and trade shows. In 2013, they completed their first private residential commission.
Their projects follow an orientation that privileges both industrial and cultural value, as well as research through associations of inspiration and innovative solutions. Their conviction is that a well-resolved product should provide satisfaction at every stage of its life cycle. However, all this is unpredictable and very complex, which is why their activity is a continuous pursuit of learning and gaining experiences through research in the perfect combination of the focal points of today's design.
